This lonely abandoned homesite in South Snake Valley, Nevada is many miles from anywhere. It still withstands the elements though its occupants have long since moved on. The crown jewel of the Great Basin National Park in White Pine County, Nevada, Wheeler Peak is a spectacular destination for thousands of visitors each year. At 13,063-feet, it is the second highest peak in Nevada. The Wheeler Peak Campground at approx. 10,000-feet is accessible by a narrow winding road and this view greets travelers as they make the last turn.
