Hidden Canyon Ranch Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the hills on the eastern slope of the Mt. Wheeler Range, just outside the border of Great Basin National Park in Nevada. It is comprised of 375 acres in a long juniper and pinion canyon, far away from the frantic pace of any city. Our “claim to fame” is the unmatched dark night sky, frequent wildlife sightings, incredible hiking opportunities, deluxe upscale accommodations and a friendly welcome.

Looking for the perfect spot to unwind? At Hidden Canyon Ranch Bed and Breakfast in the Lodge guests will find luxurious bedrooms, serenity and a 180 degree view of the natural setting from our great room. This is also the place to enjoy entertainment around the grand piano, conversation with other guests from all over the world, or find a quiet spot to read a book from our extensive and eclectic library. Many guests appreciate the quality art collection which graces the walls of the Lodge.

The spacious bedrooms have vaulted ceilings, AC, in-floor heating, comfortable seating and a small table and fridge. Each room has a king bed, deluxe bedding, and a private bath. A limited number of balcony view rooms are available at $139 plus tax per night. Free wi-fi and continental long distance phone are included.

A full cooked breakfast is served daily from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. and features locally produced fresh eggs and savory country fare. Dinners served family style are available by prior request (generally 2 weeks’ notice is required).

Pets are not allowed in the Lodge. If you must bring a pet, please also bring a kennel so it can be kenneled in the garage. There will be a nightly pet fee charged of $15 per animal.

Many people ask us if dirt bikes or ATVs are allowed. The answer is a resounding “yes.” There are many miles of wonderful, unrestricted roads and trails surrounding our canyon where you may ride such vehicles. You may also use them for sightseeing on our property, although no unlicensed drivers will be allowed to drive and you must observe reasonable speed limits and stay on established trails.

Hidden Canyon Ranch B & B is open by reservation year-round, although we may be closed occasionally throughout the winter. Our “show-off” weather season is mid-June through mid-October with daytime temperatures ranging from 80 – 100 F. High elevation hiking may only be possible in the late summer, but cross-country skiing and snow shoeing can be excellent during the winter. Call us or Great Basin National Park for a report on the trail conditions. Our 6-mile graveled road is kept open all year long, but 4-wheel drive is recommending during the winter for travel during stormy weather.

We suggest that visitors bring a warm jacket, warm night clothes, comfortable walking or hiking shoes, flashlights & extra batteries, camera, lotion & lip balm, shade hat, basic first aid supplies, prescription medications, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. You may also bring fishing gear or snow shoes as desired.

Here at Hidden Canyon, you can enjoy the serenity and quiet of farm living at its best. A deep appreciation of life in an earlier time comes from observing the unspoiled surroundings and hearing tales of pioneers and outlaws who used to inhabit the ranch in the 1800’s.

This is one of the last prime areas in the United States to find a truly dark night sky, giving us wonderful stargazing opportunities in the evenings. An early morning or evening walk is a good time to enjoy the wildlife, mule deer, an occasional elk or mountain lion, wild turkeys and many other bird species, especially along our waterways.

Our warm weather season is June through September.  The Lodge at Hidden Canyon and Roseberry Court are open by reservation year-round. Excellent small-group pheasant hunting is offered October - February. Fly fishing for native Bonneville Cutthroat Trout is year-round.

We suggest that guests bring a warm jacket, warm night clothes, comfortable walking shoes, flashlights & extra batteries, camera, sunscreen, lotion & lip balm, shade hat, basic first aid supplies, prescription medications, and plenty of water to stay hydrated.

We are happy to prepare meals for you with at least 2 week notice.  Prices depend on the menus chosen.

Pets are welcome in the camping areas, tepees and cabins, and some of the Roseberry rooms as long as they are on a leash or in a kennel at all times.  Basic kennel facilities are available for your dog while you are visiting Great Basin National Park.

Many people ask us if dirt bikes or ATVs are allowed.  The answer is a resounding “yes.”  There are many miles of wonderful, unrestricted roads and trails surrounding our canyon where you may ride such vehicles.  You may also use them for sightseeing on our property, although no unlicensed drivers will be allowed, and you must observe speed limits and stay on established trails.

We also can board a your horses.  Horses are allowed in Great Basin National Park and there are many places to enjoy riding in our area.
